City of Saginaw MI -
Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission

Housed in the award winning Andersen Enrichment Center, the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission was founded in 1986 on a simple and powerful premise: that the arts enrich lives, expand minds and form a vital thread in the fabric of a community. Through vision, leadership, education, advocacy and funding, the Arts Commission nurtures, supports, and promotes artists and artistic organizations in Saginaw County and surrounding areas.

The Arts Commission administers two grant programs: Artreach and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs Minigrant program. We provide exhibit space for area artists and hold winter and summer art fairs. We support collaborations with an arts round table and produce the Artifacts newsletter monthly. Our youth outreach programs brighten urban youth centers while Saginaw Celebrates Summer brings thousands of people to the City for a variety of art and cultural events.

Recognizing that a community which encourages, supports and fosters the arts empowers its citizens to think, work and live creatively, the Arts Commission works to provide an environment in which the arts thrive.
