City of Saginaw, Michigan

The City of Saginaw would like to provide the following update from
Mid Michigan Waste Authority on collection service issues from Priority Waste:

Mid Michigan Waste Authority has been working to ensure all areas of the City of Saginaw receive collection services this week. Priority Waste has applied great focus and additional resources to the outstanding areas in the City of Saginaw with materials still at the curb. Priority Waste is committed to resolving any outstanding service issues. They have a plan in place that should result in all areas
receiving service by the end of day Friday, January 6.

Priority Waste Plan Includes:
  •  Two additional trucks are currently servicing the City of Saginaw area. This is inaddition to the regular trucks assigned to the City.
  • Monday January 2 routes are being rerun with material still curbside to be collected.
  • Tuesday January 3 routes are being rerun with material still curbside to be collected.
  • Wednesday January 4 routes are being rerun with material still curbside to be collected.
  • Thursday January 5 routes are on target.
  • Friday January 6 routes should be run with all lessons learned implemented.
Rerunning a route is the practical and efficient response when multiple areas have been identified as still having material at the curb. Rather than moving from one neighborhood to the next, the additional trucks simply follow the planned route and collect the trash they see as they go along.

Mid Michigan Waste Authority would like to thank all City of Saginaw residents impacted by this issue for their patience and understanding. For additional service information, contact MMWA at (989) 781-9555
