The City of Saginaw is committed to safety for all
residents and making the City of Saginaw an enjoyable community for all. In response
to recent complaints regarding the illegal use of fireworks, the city has established an
email address for citizens to lodge fireworks complaints. Citizens can email
stopthenoise@saginaw-mi.com with complaints. Citizens are asked to provide specific
information of the location of the fireworks in the email if possible. Members of our
S.C.E.N.I.C. Inspections Division, in cooperation with the Saginaw Police and Fire
Departments, have established a Fireworks Enforcement team that will be patrolling
areas of the city effective immediately to increase enforcement. Citizens can also call
9-1-1 to lodge complaints. Violations of the fireworks ordinance is a civil infraction
which carries up to a $1,000 fine.

The City of Saginaw Pyrotechnic Ordinance allows a specific timeframe for the
legal use of fireworks, which is June 29 to July 4 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. on
