City of Saginaw, Michigan

January 30, 2020 SAGINAW, MI – The City of Saginaw is proud to be the recipient of the Insurify’s Most Caring City in Michigan Award.

Insurify.com, a national insurance-comparison site, identified the city in each state with the highest percentage of inhabitants working in what Insurify labeled as "selfless professions": social work, healthcare, counseling, firefighting, teaching, etc. According to the press release sent on Jan. 23, Saginaw has the highest share of individuals working in altruistic fields statewide. To identify the city in each state with the highest percentage of inhabitants working in these selfless professions, Insurify analyzed car owners’ occupation and place of residence information in 2 million auto insurance applications.

"At some point in your life, you or someone you know has probably benefited from the service of a counselor, a teacher, a nurse or some other professional whose career is dedicated to helping others in their community. They frequently work well into their own personal time, or remain on-call and at-the-ready at a moment’s notice. They make their cities a better place to live, and they often do so without the recognition they deserve. It is an honor that Saginaw was recognized for having such a large percentage of individuals working in these fields. It shows the heart of our community." –Saginaw Mayor Floyd Kloc.

“We at Insurify would like to congratulate the residents of these communities who work day in and day out to better the lives of their fellow citizens,” said Snejina Zacharia, CEO of Insurify. “Their dedication to safety, health, and education define what it means to be a caring neighbor.”Further information about this award and the full list of winning communitiescan be found here: https://insurify.com/insights/most-caring-cities-awards/https://insurify.com/insights/most-caring-cities-awards/
