City of Saginaw MI -
The 2013 Michigan Avenue utility replacement and road resurfacing project is a continuation of the work begun in 2012. Previously underground utility work, select curb and gutter replacement, road resurfacing, sidewalk and ramp replacement was completed on Michigan Avenue from Stephens to Remington. In 2013, the work will continue on Michigan Avenue from Remington to State with extensive work being completed at the Michigan Avenue and West Genesee Avenue intersection to improve traffic lane alignment and traffic signal layout. Michigan Avenue traffic will be maintained; however, with lane restrictions in effect the Right-of-Way Division suggests travelers utilize the posted detour route.
Tentatively scheduled to begin April 23, 2013. Proposed "open to traffic" on September 27, 2013. Right-of-way work to be completed on or before October 25, 2013.
