Al Orr, Fleet Administrator and auction organizer, commented, “It has been the City’s practice to periodically hold an auction to dispose of fleet surplus vehicles and equipment. The City has used the internet to sell surplus equipment in the past; however, the sale of this type of fleet surplus and the quantity of motor vehicles is best served with an auction.”
