City of Saginaw MI -
SAGINAW FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOST PINK HEALS, INC. TOUR
The City of Saginaw Fire Department is proud to announce they will be hosting Pink Heals, Inc. on the first ever Michigan leg of their 2017 National Tour on Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18, 2017.
Pink Heals is a non-profit program that partners with Public Safety, local businesses and families to bring communities together by celebrating people, not causes. Pink Heals is health care support at a grass roots level. Local Chapters of the Pink Heals Program use pink firetrucks as a visual reminder that people matter.
Chapters team up with local businesses to offer home visits in order to provide visit recipients with donated goods, gift cards and services, as well as give the employees of those businesses the opportunity to bring joy, love and hope to people in need. Their mission statement is "To provide communities with a program that supports people in need on a personal level in partnership with public safety and local businesses."
While the Pink Heals stop is in Saginaw, they will be based out of Central Fire Station, 801 Federal Ave. There will be opportunities at Central Fire Station, as well as other locations around Saginaw, to visit and view the fire trucks as well as support the cause by purchasing t-shirts and other merchandise.
For more information on scheduled events, opportunities to get involved, or if you know of someone who may qualify for a visit from the Pink Fire Trucks, please contact Lieutenant James Fourman of the Saginaw Fire Department Community Relations Team at (989) 245-0804 or visit the Pink Heals website at www.pinkheals.com or www.pinkfiretrucks.org.
