Free Child Safety Seat Inspection Event at the Saginaw Fire Department
The Saginaw Fire Department will be hosting a free child safety seat inspection event on Saturday, May 20nd at Central Fire Station between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Central Fire Station is located at 801 Federal Avenue in the City of Saginaw. Appointments are not required.
Citizens are encouraged to stop by Central Fire Station for this event to ensure that their child safety seat is properly installed in their vehicle by a licensed technician. Child safety seat inspections are another free service the Saginaw Fire Department offers the community to help provide a safe and secure Saginaw. In addition to the child safety seat inspections, citizens will have an opportunity to tour of the fire station, fire apparatus and equipment, and receive valuable fire and life safety educational instruction and materials.
Fire Engineer and Licensed Child Safety Seat Technician William Buchinger says "The Saginaw Fire Department has installed over 150 child safety seats and we are committed to reducing preventable injuries to children with this program. We strongly encourage all parents to ensure the safety of their children by having their seats checked by a licensed technician."
