Art & Garden Festival 2017

The 13th Annual Art & Garden Festival will take place on Wednesday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Andersen Enrichment Center and Memorial Rose Garden, 120 Ezra Rust, Saginaw. Mark your calendar now to attend, admission to the festival is Free!

The Art & Garden Festival, an all day art and gardening event, draws visitors from throughout the state, and will feature a wide variety of art and garden vendors, gardening demonstrations, a live art draw, silent auction, sandwich and pasta salad lunch from the Savoy Bar & Grill, and our homemade strawberry shortcake!

Art & Garden Festival Vendors will sell original art, jewelry, glassware and more. Native Michigan perennials and ferns, several varieties of Abele’s rose bushes, and many other items for home and garden will be available in addition to sweets and treats including donuts, frozen cider slushies, candy, cookies and other bakery items.

Presentations will feature garden experts speaking on a variety of topics, including; Turf Facts at 10:30 a.m., Benefits of Lavender at 11:30 a.m., A Taste of Honey at 12:30 p.m., and Rose Care at 1:30 p.m.

Street Artist David Zinn will be drawing live during the Art & Garden Festival. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch him work and hear more about his street art composed entirely of chalk, charcoal and found objects.

Don’t miss the opportunity to ask the experts by visiting with members of the Master Gardeners, Woman’s National Farm and Garden, Saginaw Valley Hosta Society, the Rosarians and the Saginaw Area Watermedia Artists.

A silent auction featuring plants, home and garden accessories, gift certificates and more donated by our vendors and area businesses will round out the afternoon. All festival proceeds will benefit the care and maintenance of the Lucille E. Andersen Memorial Rose Garden.

This year’s festival will be one of the first events kicking off Saginaw Celebrates Summer. Sponsored by Hemlock Semiconductor Group, this summer long collaboration will celebrate the arts, nature and humanities with events for the entire family to enjoy.
