PUBLIC MEETING WILLIAMSON STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Please be advised the City of Saginaw is holding a public meeting on Wednesday, April 19th at City Hall in Council Chambers from 4:30 - 5:30 pm to address the reconstruction project on Williamson St. between Thayer St. and Treanor St. Project engineers and City Personnel will be available to answer questions and discuss the project and traffic control plans such as:
- Construction is scheduled to begin May 1, 2017 and will extend until September 29, 2017
- Road reconstruction will include pavement removal, concrete pavement repairs, asphalt surfacing, machine grading, sand sub base, aggregate base; water main, sanitary sewer service, new curb and gutter, ADA ramps and sidewalk replacement; plus new pavement markings and signs
- Williamson will be closed to through traffic during construction, with a signed detour in place; access for emergency vehicles and local traffic will be maintained
This is a much needed capital improvement project that will provide a smoother ride. Owners, residents and/or motorists affected by this project are encouraged to attend this meeting to obtain helpful information prior to construction.
With advance notice of 24 hours, accommodations can be made for persons with disabilities and/or limited speaking ability, and persons needing auxiliary aids or services, interpreters, signers, readers or large print.
