The Right Of Way Division provides the daily direction, planning, coordination, and supervision of street maintenance, pavement repair, street sweeping, snow removal from streets and brush removal.
Rubbish Collection Guidelines
Rubbish collection is handled by the Mid Michigan Waste Authority. Their website will provide information about collection guidelines and schedules.
Brush/Yard Waste/Compost Information
Yard Waste stickers can be picked up at the following:
- City of Saginaw Clerk’s Office, 1315 S. Washington Avenue
- Public Works Building, Right of Way Division, Streets Section, 1435 S. Washington Avenue
Yard Waste Collection Guidelines
Convenience Station – Public Works Building, 1435 S. Washington Avenue
The Convenience Station is open to City residents only the 2nd Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., and yard waste and brush can be dropped off at this time during the winter months. Items that can be dropped off include recyclables, building materials, furniture, trash, and other miscellaneous items. No paint or chemicals are accepted. Residents must show a valid Michigan Driver’s License or State ID as proof of residency.
