Our Mission

It is the mission of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to support and enhance the operation of City government, maintain the City's fiscal integrity and financial condition, and preserve the City's bond rating by developing, implementing, and enforcing appropriate budgetary policies and procedures; providing accurate and timely information and recommendations to the City Manager, departments, City Council, and the general public; as well as developing and administering the operating and capital budgets in compliance with the City's Charter, General Accepted Accounting Principles, the policy agenda of elected officials, and ensuring that available resources are efficiently allocated and productively used.

Our Vision

OMB is dedicated to making financial decisions and developing long-term financial plant that are founded in realistic and accurate assumptions so that the City can advance its vision and mission. OMB is committed to establishing collaborative working relationships with City departments to assist them in making financial decisions and in providing them with the resources they need to achieve their goals and objectives. OMB is also determined to provide reliable and understandable financial information to the City Manager, city council, and the public.
