Hermansau and Weiss

What:

Install left-turn lane on Hermansau at Weiss Street and add a traffic signal at the intersection. The signal timing will be tied to the timing of the signal at Schaefer and Weiss and Michigan and Weiss. The Hermansau and Weiss intersection improvements are being completed in coordination with Saginaw County Road Commission to improve traffic safety and traffic signal layout.

When:

Estimated construction contract bid date is November 5, 2013. Tentatively scheduled to begin May 2014.

Funding:

$210,000 - City's share

  • Federal STP - $160,000
  • ACT 51 - $50,000

When

Tentatively fiscal year 2015

The Saginaw Police Department is one of only three law enforcement agencies in the country that has been selected to participate in a unique program designed to help reduce crime, support victims, and enhance public safety.
