Majestic any time of the year, stunning during the Christmas holidays thanks to a dazzling yuletide lighting display.  Water from Lake Huron is carefully filtered for about 175,000 area customers.  Tours are offered by advance registration.  The city of Saginaw has about 340 miles of water mains and 72 miles of mains outside the city limits.  The huge plant has a capacity of 50 million gallons of water per day and services the metro area.  A network of water mains range in size from four to 48-inches.
