Sewer Connection

Connection from the sewer main to the property line, constructed by City of Saginaw Public Utilities crew. Permit is required for a new line, or when the connection is over 50 years old. The Public Utilities department will direct homeowner for this service if it is an existing connection.

The sewer fee can be placed on the property taxes for a period of 10 years with a max of 10% yearly interest, set by council. You must be the Recorded Owner of the Property to Add this Fee to Taxes.

Sewer Investigation

Sewer is warranted for 50 years from main installation. The city will check out the connection after the connection fee is paid. If it is a problem with a covered item the fee is refunded. If it is the owner's problem, the fee is used to replace the connection. The Public Utilities department will direct homeowner for this service.
