Youth Theater Workshop

The Andersen Enrichment Center is pleased to announce their fourth annual Youth Theater Workshop. Due to overwhelming response to last year’s event, the workshop will once again be offered in four sessions. The Youth Theater Workshop will be held at the Andersen Enrichment Center, 120 Ezra Rust Drive in Saginaw on January 17, January 24, January 31, and February 7, 2009, from 10am until Noon.  The workshop will be open to children ages 7-12.  Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  All students must be pre-registered.  Registration fee is $20 for the series.

This year’s workshop will be lead by Saginaw’s own, Jenny Rogers-Belleau.  Jenny has worked with students from Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Academy by writing, producing, and directing Picasso Become You and directing You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.  She has also worked extensively with students at Pit & Balcony Community Theatre conducting youth theater workshops and adapting Hemingway’s Nick Adams Stories for the stage during the 2008 summer season. Jenny keeps busy with many volunteer and fundraising events including the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square, the Saginaw Art Museum, The Underground Railroad, and the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra.  Jenny’s focus is to help expand the vision for the arts by sharing it with young people.

For more information, or to register, please call Lisa Hall at the Andersen Enrichment Center at 989-759-1362 ext. 221
