Annual Art & Garden Festival

The Andersen Enrichment Center is pleased to present the 6th Annual Art & Garden Festival. Saginaw County’s biggest garden event will take place at the Andersen Enrichment Center and the adjoining Lucille Andersen Memorial Garden located at 120 Ezra Rust, in Saginaw on Wednesday June 16, 2010 from 10:00 am – 3:00 p.m. rain or shine.

This year's festival will be one of the first events kicking off Saginaw Celebrates Summer. Sponsored by Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation, this summer long collaboration will celebrate the arts, nature and humanities with events for the entire family to enjoy.

Demonstrations and presentations will cover topics including greenhouse gardening, ergonomics in gardening, rose pruning and gardening and community gardening.

Sweets and treats including donuts, cookies, and cider slurpies will be offered by area vendors. Lunch will be available with sandwiches and fresh strawberry shortcake.

Art & Garden Festival Vendors will sell original art, miniature rose bushes, day lilies, hostas and other unique plants. Also available will be original garden artwork, decorative pavers, birdhouses, lawn ornaments, statuary, cookbooks, herb books and lawn ornaments.

A silent auction will be held featuring plants, garden tools and other great home and garden merchandise donated by local businesses.

Admission is Free.

Jazz in the Garden

Great Jazz Entertainment for the Whole Family to Enjoy!

The Andersen Enrichment Center will host its annual summer concert series, “Jazz in the Garden” which will be held in the Lucille E. Andersen Memorial Garden on four consecutive Wednesday evenings beginning July 7th.

Hollyday Fair

Hosted by the Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission, this annual holiday extravaganza invites guests to shop for fun and unique gifts from local artists and vendors. A fresh holly sale, distinctive gifts, silent auction, lunch and a tempting holiday cookie sale entice guests to this event year after year.

Art @ Andersen is a rotating mini art exhibit in the lobby and hallways at the Andersen Enrichment Center showcasing the work of area artists and give art lovers the opportunity to connect with the creativity of the Great Lakes Bay Region. Saginaw's most unique gift shop, featuring handmade gifts by Michigan artists are available in the Gift Gallery located in the lobby at the Andersen Enrichment Center. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
