Andersen Enrichment Center
Art @ the Andersen
New Works by Robert Darabos:
Etchings, Linocuts and Woodblock Prints
October 6 through November 25 at the Andersen Enrichment Center in Saginaw’s Celebration Square, 120 Ezra Rust Drive.
Exhibit hours are 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Robert Darabos' work shows abstracts where he has developed several styles including flat cubism, drip paintings, geometric abstractions, geometric compositions, Rorschach abstractions and splatter screen abstractions. Through each of his styles of painting Robert wishes to convey and develop a different meaning and thought process - from the questioning of shapes and geometrics, to the ideal image of the human form.
Robert began showing his artwork in galleries and shows almost two years ago and has since had his work in close to thirty shows including seven solo shows, several group shows, and multiple publications. He has donated original works to aid local museums, the aids/hiv epidemic and to fight dyslexia. His work is shown mostly throughout Michigan but has also appeared in Chicago, New York and Australia. The artist also has several pieces of his art work in private and personal collections in Michigan, as well as in Chicago, Illinois, and London, England.
Art @ the Andersen is a great opportunity for art lovers to connect with the creativity of the Saginaw Valley Area. The project was established by the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission to give area artists the opportunity showcase their work and to introduce the community to the abundant creativity in the Saginaw Valley region.
Art @ the Andersen is made possible with the support of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts. It is a project established by the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission to give Mid-Michigan artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.
