The CDBG Division administers federal funds to carry out a wide range of community development activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services.
CDBG programs include:
- Housing Rehabilitation Programs
The CDBG administers loans and grants to make home repairs for income eligible households in targeted areas. For more information, contact the Housing Rehab office at 989-759-1530. For additional housing rehab programs, contact the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), (517) 373-1974, TTY 800-382-4568
- CDBG Program
The CDBG office oversees federal funds for non-profit agencies. Applications are accepted in the CDBG office, Room 212 until 5:00 PM, October 8, 2010. For applications, please call 759-1536 or 759-1584.
PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND PROVIDE ANSWERS WITH YOUR RETURNED APPLICATIONS.

3. Whom do you serve and where in the City do these people live?
4. Why are you asking for CDBG funds.
5. Have you received CDBG funds in the past? If so, when amd for how many years?
6. What other sources have you looked to for funds? Please list in Section V of the application.
7. If you received CDBG funds last year please provide a one-page summary of your accomplishments for review.
8. Can you complete and/or accomplish your goals with less than your requested funds?
