- Held Committee of the Whole to present budget overviews for Department of Development, City Clerk’s Office, City Attorney’s Office, Worker’s Compensation, Self Insurance and PTO Liability.
- Approved 3/5/07, 3/19/07, 4/2/07 and 4/16/07 regular Council meeting minutes.
- Presented Certificates of Recognition to Joshua Blohm and Chedrick Greene for military service.
- Held public hearings on Truth in Taxation, Police and Fire Public Safety Millage and Fiscal Year 2007-08 Budget.
- Granted personal appearances to Jack O. Schmidt, Johnny Sanders, Earl Jesse, Jimmy Greene and Pastor Larry Camel.
- Approved Petition 07-09 from Michael Quinnell, for the Saginaw Midland Municipal Water Supply Corp., Capital Improvement and Emergency Repair Fund expenditures.
- Referred Petition 07-10 from Beagle Construction, requesting to vacate closed Almira Street to City Planning Commission.
- Referred Petition 07-11 from Beagle Construction, requesting to vacate closed Lyon St. to City Planning Commission.
- Reappointed Thomas Mudd and Evelyn Mudd to Historic District Commission with terms to expire 5/21/2010.
- Reappointed Steve Robinson to Zoning Board of Appeals with term to expire 5/21/2010.
- Heard reports from Keep Saginaw Beautiful and Sesquicentennial Committees.
- Heard report on the Michigan State Housing Development Authority’s Cities of Promise Blight Elimination Program.
- Approved Letter of Agreement with Thomas Township for Gratiot Road pump station upgrades.
- Approved U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service Habitat Development Agreement.
- Approved payment to Kennedy Industries, Inc. for Freeland pump station emergency impeller repair.
- Approved payment to John E. Green Company for Hancock Retention Treatment Basin ductile iron pipe replacement.
- Approved Personal [Engineering] Services Agreement with Beth London for FY2007-08.
- Issued purchase order to JCI Jones Chemical, Inc. for chlorine for the Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
- Authorized consumption of alcoholic beverages at Japanese Tea House and Gardens for Rotary Club fundraiser
- Adopted Resolution approving the Fiscal Year 2008 budget.
