  • 09-02  from Thomas A. Webb, President of Saginaw County Veterans Memorial Plaza, Inc., requesting that this organization recognized as a nonprofit organization for purposes of obtaining a charitable gaming license.

Recommended Actions:

  1. Recommending that a purchase order be approved and issued to Trivalent Group in the amount of $2,358.75 for payment of the annual maintenance and license fees for McAfee Active Virusscan for all the city’s PC’s and laptops. This vendor meets all requirements of the contract compliance provisions. Funds for this purchase are budgeted and available in the Information Services Operating Services Account No. 658 1720 711 80 05.

  2. Recommending that the low bid from Stevens Fence Co. be accepted and that a purchase order be issued to them in the amount of $5,350.00 for the purchase and installation of fencing at the 14th Street Retention Treatment Basin. This fencing is necessary due to the demolition of a building owned by Saginaw Metal Casting Operations. This vendor meets all requirements of the contract compliance provisions. Funds for this purchase are available in the Sewer Operation & Maintenance Remote Facilities Account No. 590 4835 861 80 40.

  3. Recommending that Purchase Order No. 37127 issued to Waste Management be increased by $60,000.00, from $29,340.00 to $89,340.00, for fiscal year 2009, for the collection of debris by the sweeping crews. Due to the increase of debris being collected, the original purchase order has been exhausted. This vendor meets all requirements of the contract compliance provisions. Funds for this increase are available in the Sewer Catch Basin Operating Services Account No. 590 4822 861 80 05.
