HOUSING COMMISSION
HOUSING COMMISSION established by 1933 PA 18, as amended, and Administrative Code, Chapter 2, Section 1101, to determine in what areas of the city housing facilities are needed for low-income persons, to acquire or construct housing for that need and to manage such properties in a self-supporting manner while providing them only to tenants who are unable to afford more expensive housing accommodations. Consists of five (5) members appointed by the Mayor for five (5) year overlapping terms.
