HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION established in Zoning Code to review plans for exterior features of construction, alteration, repair, moving or demolition of structures or signs in historic districts and approve such plans before a permit is granted. Consists of nine (9) members appointed by City Council for three-year terms. Must be City residents. At least two (2) members shall be appointed from nominees submitted by historic preservation societies within the City; at least one (1) member shall be a property owner who is a resident of a Residential Landmark Structure or District; at least one (1) member shall be a property owner of a Commercial Landmark or District; and at least one (1) member an architect, if such person resides in the city and is available for appointment.
