DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY established by Ordinance D-1376 pursuant to 1975 PA 197, as amended, to correct and prevent deterioration in business districts, promote economic growth in the districts. The Authority shall be under supervision and control of a board consisting of the Chief Executive Officer of the City and twelve (12) other members as determined by the City Council. Not less than a majority shall have interest in property in downtown Saginaw. Not less than one (1) shall be a resident of the downtown district if the district has 100 or more persons residing in it. Members’ terms shall be for four years. (Membership changed from nine to thirteen 11-4-96 Council meeting).
